HARANA news agency;
By a letter Mr.Kazemeini Boroujerdi’s family asked the UN Secretary-General in 65th session of general assembly to consider human rights violation and the state of political prisoners in Iran.
The text of letter is as follows;
Dear Ban Ki-Moon, the UN Secretary-General;
This complaint is sent to you on the threshold of the 5th year of the illegal imprisonment of Mr.Seyed Hosein Kazemeini Boroujerdi, ideological and political prisoner in Iran. The dissident who has been detained on Oct 8, 2006 and has spent some difficult and severe years in general sections and solitary confinement of Iran prisons only because of his advocacy of the thesis “separation of religion from politics”.
Now he is suffering from heart, kidney and respiratory problems due to physical and psychological tortures in prison, also he has lost 80% of his vision because of retina rupture and some symptoms of brain tumor have been seen in him during recent months. According to the statements of Evin prison physicians; this 52-year-old prisoner who has lost a lot of weight, is in an emergency condition as is exposed to stroke, but judicial authorities have deprived him of treatment and using facilities in a equipped hospital because of continuing his activities and insisting on his opinion in prison, as they don’t give us even his medical file too.
Mr. Boroujerdi has written letter to you and other international personalities and organizations several times, but no action has been seen. Unfortunately paying no attention to these complaints has made a situation for him as after broadcasting these letters he was beaten and tortured much more in prison and governmental media and news papers make him a target of charges and character assassination too.
What has happened to us specially the murder of Mr.Boroujerdi’s parents and tormenting his family and followers, indicates that the regime authorities are not able to tolerate the activities of this dissident in Iran because of ideological oppositions. Mr. Boroujerdi asked the leader and president of Iran to permit him to emigrate from Iran last years, but no answer was received.
We along with the families of ideological and political prisoners who were executed in Iran or of those prisoners, who are exposed to gradual death due to the lack of heath and medical facilities in the prisons, are spending hard and disastrous days.
We insistently ask you to make the subject “consideration of Human Rights Violations in Iran and saving prisoners’ life” main priority in the 65th session of the UN general assembly.
History will judge about the silence and every kind of neglects of human crimes in Iran.
The family of Seyed Hosein Kazemeini Boroujerdi
